Disability:IN NC: 2019 Thought Leaders Luncheon

May 16, 2019

Disability:IN North Carolina is pleased to announce that our  will highlight the challenges that veterans with service disabilities face as they re-enter civilian life after their service in the armed forces. Our keynote speaker, Kevin Rumley, will bring his lived experience to a presentation that will inform employers and business leaders about how to support the mental health needs of the veterans they employ.

Kevin Rumley is the Veterans Treatment Court Coordinator for Buncombe County, a non-adversarial, treatment-based diversion program for justice-involved veterans. He is a combat wounded Marine Corps veteran, who was awarded a Purple Heart for injuries sustained in Iraq. Kevin is also a person in long-term-recovery, remaining a vocal community advocate for harm reduction modalities.
